Online Workshop: Storytelling for Leaders
8th April 2021, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
Storytelling
for Leaders
ONLINE WORKSHOP
Lead hearts as well as minds
Why does this matter
Storytelling is about bringing life and meaning to bare facts and data. Stories can simplify complexity and explain strategic decisions to your people, helping motivate them and align them behind important goals.
Just as important as having a clear vision and solid data, is the credibility and capacity to inspire. If people trust you and can relate to the “whys” behind your messages, you are more than half-way there.
Storytelling is incredibly powerful when used to
-
Communicate strategy with impact
-
Encourage confidence in change
-
Establish your leadership credentials
In this online workshop we look at the power of narrative and how to construct stories to convey clarity and confidence, and that will encourage those tasked with implementing strategic plans.
The workshop will be held for a small select group of mid-to-senior level executives who are responsible for communicating strategy and for leading others. It will be an intensive coaching experience. The numbers will therefore be capped so that everyone will receive considerable personal attention.
Facilitator
Siobhan Soraghan is founder of Active Insight and has been developing leaders across a wide range of sectors for over two decades.
She has supported hundreds of leaders and many management teams in deciding their strategy and communicating it to their workforce. She has trained a wide range of executives in the tools and mindset for using narrative and stories to inspire and motivate their teams. From her work and life experience she has plenty of her own stories to bring to this workshop. Perhaps being Irish gives her an advantage! But she will show that anyone can use stories to add credibility and weight to their message and impact as a leader.
