Why this topic matters

This workshop focuses on a challenge faced by many technology-based companies: the conversion of detailed technical knowledge and information into sales and marketing tools that feed the sales funnel and facilitate the sales process.

Attendees will be introduced to an approach to commercial communication in science that has been developed and applied successfully over many years. Topics covered will include the development of targeted, customer-focused communications, as well as the selection of appropriate sales support tools and communication channels.

There will be an opportunity for each attendee to practice applying the principles learned using an example from their own business.

Your facilitator

Sue Creswell

Sue is experienced in market communication, sales support and marketing, with practiced skills in multi-national environments. She has proven success in introducing new companies and technologies to the global life science market and driving the transition of biotech supply companies from a technological to a commercially focused approach.

Sue has an excellent track record for project implementation and establishment of effective internal and external market communication networks, and is capable of transferring detailed technical knowledge into sales and marketing activities. Experienced in the production of promotional, PR and sales support tools, she also has specialised knowledge in the high value biotech tools market.

Sue is Director of iOrsen, a European Marketing Communications consultancy.  Previous roles include Global Marketing Manager for Horizon, Marketing Manager for Applied Photophysics, Marketing Communications Director of Biacore SA and European Marketing Manager, Pharmacia Biotech Europe.
