Joining the Innovation Network -Terms and Conditions
Membership
The organisation is the subscriber and a sponsor individual is assigned as “named member”. This person is often the primary attendee at events; however, their place is transferable. If they cannot attend, we expect that a colleague will in their stead.
Large organisations typically purchase two memberships so that the named member (typically a senior technologist or leader) can attend most events and the second place at events can be shared around colleagues with a particular interest in the event topic. These are often mid-to-senior career technologists, to benefit from the excellent value CPD.
Please note: The non-use of a place at any event cannot be carried over to future events, so members are encouraged to be proactive in making use of the allotted places per event. We send out information regularly about upcoming events and there is a calendar available online.
Annual Subscription
Amount
Per subscription: £1375*+vat for a 12-month period.
Unfortunately, refunds cannot be given on resignation.
Changes in subscriptions fees will be communicated at least one month in advance of introduction.
*A special rate for independents is available.
Term of membership
Membership runs for 12 months, the start date agreed at the time of joining.
A member whose subscription is in arrears beyond three months automatically ceases to be a member.
Members renewing during the period of grace are re-enrolled with effect from the date on which the renewal subscription fell due.
Members who advise the Network that they will not be renewing will cease to be members with effect from the date on which their paid-up membership term expires, at which time all benefits and rights will cease.
Method of payment
Annual, by BACS within one month of invoice date.
Website – members section
Slides, and occasionally recordings from events will be made available for members on the Members’ Only pages, with permission from the speakers. Please note that these are for the member’s personal use only.
There is also a Members’ Directory to support networking, and new members are invited to enter their profile here.
Members are issued with login details enabling access to the Members Only pages. These details should be kept confidential.
Event etiquette
Events are primarily a learning and sharing space where confidentiality is key for openness of dialogue. Contributors need to trust this and feel safe to be open, so the Chatham House rule will apply at our events.
Collaborative business relationships are encouraged, but please be aware that it is not an overt selling space – our priority is building a trusting environment where there is rich peer-to-peer learning. Being unduly direct in selling is likely to be counterproductive for the member responsible, and could harm the trust and safety that we work hard to build.
Membership benefits and discounts
Events: Members can bring a non-member colleague at a discounted rate to our Autumn and Spring events, and the Innovators’ Assembly.
Masterclasses: Each subscription confers a heavily discounted place at any Masterclass, as well as discounts for additional colleagues.
Executive mentoring and coaching: There is a membership discount for our specialist services.
Consultancy: Assessment and advice from our faculty of experts is also discounted to members.
Liability
It’s important for members to bear in mind that any property and/or materials brought to any of our events are the responsibility of the owner and that protection of any intellectual property is also the responsibility of the member and their guests.
Terms and conditions of membership may be revised from time to time and members should make themselves aware of these when notified.
